1. Find your school's district
Schools football in Surrey is organised by local district associations, with the Surrey County representative teams above them. Every school in Surrey is listed — all 849, including independent schools.
- On the home page, find Find your school's district.
- Type your school's name or postcode.
- Your school appears with its district — click the district's name for its page: who they are, their teams, roll of honour, member schools, volunteer roles, sponsors and how to support them. District pages have shareable addresses like /districts/woking.
2. Express interest in district or county football
Tell the right people your child would like to be considered — it takes two minutes.
- Go to Players, or press Express interest anywhere you see it.
- Choose who to send it to: your local district association, or Surrey County Schools FA for the representative teams (open from Year 7 to pupils at any secondary school in Surrey or the historic county (including Croydon, Merton, Sutton, Kingston and Richmond) — selection is by trial).
- Say whether it's boys' or girls' football, and pick a specific trial if one is listed.
- Leave your contact details and your child's first name and school year, and send.
→ You'll get an email confirmation straight away, and your message goes directly to the district or county organisers — they will reply to you themselves.
3. Register your school
For head teachers, PE leads and school office staff. Registering connects your school with its district association — competitions for boys and girls, representative football, and communications that reach the right person at your school.
- Go to Competitions Schools.
- Enter the school's name and postcode, your name and role, and your contact details.
- Send — the registration goes to Surrey Schools FA and your district association.
→ You'll receive confirmation once it's reviewed, and your district will be in touch about taking part.
4. Volunteer
Schools football in Surrey is run entirely by volunteers — coaching, managing, refereeing, first aid, committee and medical roles.
- Go to Volunteer.
- Look at Roles open across Surrey — the roles districts and the county are actively trying to fill. Tap one and the form fills itself in.
- Nothing that fits? Offer anyway — pick where to send it, or choose "Not sure — anywhere in Surrey" and the county will point you to where help is needed most.
- Tell them how you'd like to help and any relevant experience, and send.
→ You'll get a confirmation, and the district or county will reply to you directly.
5. Leagues & cups — rules and online entry
The Competitions page lists the leagues and cups Surrey Schools FA runs this season, each with its rules and, where the competition is underway, live tables & results.
- Open Competitions and find the competition.
- Read the rules from the card — the current season's rules are always the ones linked.
- If entries are open, press Enter this competition →: district associations enter the district competitions, schools enter the school ones. You'll get an email confirmation, and the association follows up with fixtures. Entry fees are invoiced as usual — nothing is paid online.
6. Fixtures, tables and results
Wherever you see "Fixtures & results →" on a team — on the home page's county sides, or on a district's page — it opens that side's competition page with fixtures, the table and results, updated as scores come in. For the 2026/27 Surrey District Leagues:

7. Your data
Deliberately minimal, and not kept longer than needed:
- The forms ask only for what's needed — for children, a first name and school year at most.
- What you submit is passed to the district or county you chose, so they can reply to you directly.
- Expressions of interest and volunteer offers are deleted automatically after 12 months.
- Squad lists appear only where a team has chosen to publish them, with parental consent — names only, never dates of birth or contact details.
The full details are in the privacy policy.
